Big Blue form study tutorial

This was a really fun little exercise, focusing on forms/shapes by translating shapes into form, and then form back to shapes.

Step 1: Sculptris bust referencing from a design :thumb283420749: by Mr--Jack. For learning purposes I think it's a good idea to use someone else's design, giving you less room to change the design.

Step 2: In Sculptris paint mode 'export to PSD.' In Photoshop, begin painting ambient occlusion, ambient light, and cast shadows with multiply. Light sources can be punched up using screen or color dodge in extreme light, control temperature of light with hue/overlay layers.

Step 3: After all your lighting layers are locked down, make a copy of the PSD, merge all the layers down and do a few final passes for polish.
